KIMWASCO, formally known as Kiambere-Mwingi Water & Sanitation Company Limited, is a licensed water service provider mandated to deliver reliable, affordable and sustainable water and sanitation services within the greater Mwingi region of Kitui County, Kenya.

The company was incorporated in May 2009 under the Companies Act following reforms in Kenya's water sector and operates on behalf of the County Government of Kitui.

KIMWASCO serves approximately 10,000 square kilometres through an extensive distribution network originating from Kiambere Water Treatment Works. The company’s infrastructure includes a 54-kilometre transmission pipeline, water storage facilities, kiosks, water bowsers, metered connections, boreholes, sump wells, rock catchments and sanitation facilities.

The Kiambere-Mwingi water project began through an Italian-funded bilateral aid package finalized in 1991. The system was designed to draw water from Kiambere dam, purify it, lift it to a storage tank on Kyoea hill, and then convey it by gravity toward Mwingi town.

Phase one, covering the intake, treatment works, Kyoea hill lift and main storage tank, was completed in 1998. KIMWASCO was incorporated in May 2009 after the project assets were transferred to Tanathi Water Services Board under the Water Act 2002.

A major expansion project launched in 2017 is intended to extend water supply north to Katse, Kyuso and Tseikuru, and to install a sewerage system for Mwingi town. The project remains an important part of the long-term service improvement agenda.
