From Kiambere Treatment Works to your doorstep.

Our treatment works are located at Kiambere, 66 kilometres from Mwingi town. From there, water travels through the primary transmission line and an expanding distribution network to reach homes, businesses, institutions and community water points.

All customers on the metered network receive monthly bills. Because demand currently exceeds production capacity, supply is managed through a rationing schedule shared with customers through notices and SMS.

• 54 km: Kiambere-to-Mwingi primary transmission pipeline.
• 10,520 m3: storage capacity across the system.
• 4: boreholes operated at Ukasi, Kakunike, Kanzui and Tyaa Kamuthale.

All customers on the piped network are metered and billed monthly. Accounts have a 10-day grace period before disconnection for non-payment.

• Standard reconnection: KES 500.
• Tee-level reconnection: KES 1,000 where disconnection follows an illegal connection, or where an account remains unpaid two or more weeks after meter-level disconnection.
• Customer notices: planned supply disruptions are communicated through written notices and SMS.

Kiambere Treatment Works is located 66 kilometres from Mwingi town. The core transmission line runs 54 kilometres from Kyoea hill toward Mwingi town, while the wider distribution network is currently published as 432 kilometres pending client confirmation.

Because demand is higher than available production, water is supplied through a rationing schedule designed to share available supply across the service area.
